Jon Ishii MD

Jon Ishii, MD grew up in Kona and is a proud graduate of Kealakehe High School. He completed his undergraduate and masters studies at the University of Washington. After working for four years as a preschool and kindergarten special educator in Seattle, he returned to Hawaii and earned his medical doctorate at the University of Hawaii. From there he completed a three year pediatric residency at the University of Arizona, before serving as the chief resident of the University of Hawaii pediatric residency program. During his chief year, he also worked as a hospitalist attending at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children and completed the state Maternal and Child Health-LEND program. His personal and professional interests are centered around neighbor island healthcare and community pediatrics. He is extremely happy to be back home, helping the community and people he loves!
