Brett Ferguson

Dr. Brett Ferguson grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and after graduating from high school moved to Michigan where he resided for twelve years completing his education. First earning his Bachelors of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and Biological Anthropology from the University of Michigan, he proceeded to Michigan State University College of Human Medicine to complete his degree as a doctor of medicine. While in medical school, he met his wife Ann, at that time a graduate student in plant genetics.
After medical school, Dr. Ferguson moved to downtown Detroit for his residency in pediatric medicine at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. On completion of his residency program, he began working as a pediatric emergency physician in Ann Arbor, Michigan, followed by a year and a half serving a rural community in Louisiana as a general pediatrician before moving to the Big Island.
Besides general pediatrics, Dr. Ferguson has special interests in pediatric nephrology, international medicine, and emergency care.
In his free time, Dr. Ferguson enjoys staying physically active and enjoying the outdoors. Dr. Ferguson, his wife, son and daughter, and two rambunctious golden retrievers love living in Waimea.
