Steve Kaplan MD

Dr. Steven Kaplan was born in the Bronx, New York and grew up in New Jersey. He is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, the University Of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and received his training in pediatrics at the University of Colorado.

He has been a practicing pediatrician for twenty-five years. Prior to joining Paniolo Country Pediatrics October of 2002, Steven was the medical director of a free clinic in Los Angeles.

His special interests include pediatric infectious disease and gastrointestinal problems.

Steven lives on the wet-side of Waimea. His daughter has attended Hawaii Preparatory Academy since kindergarten, and she is now in college on the mainland. He has a cacophony of animals including a crazy rooster named Kiki.

Outside of the office, he sings with the Waimea Consort and practices yoga.
