Peter Gregg
MD
Dr. Peter Gregg grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, as the middle of 3 children. He graduated with honors from Harvard College in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in biology and a second focus in anthropology. He attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego, where he met his wife, Lois. They earned their MD degrees from UCSD in 1988; each of them are the first doctors in the family.
Dr. Gregg did his pediatrics training at the University of Michigan, completing his residency and becoming board-certified in 1991. He then moved to an Indian reservation in western New Mexico, finding it so enjoyable that the family stayed for 6 years. Lois finally grew homesick for Hawaii, and the Greggs moved to Waimea in 1997, where Peter has been practicing pediatrics since.
Dr. Gregg enjoys spending time with his 3 kids, playing Frisbee golf, singing, and kayaking. He has served on a local school board for many years and was a founding member of a Waimea a cappella singing group. His medical interests (in addition to general pediatrics) include infectious diseases, adoption issues, and cross-cultural medicine.
